Welcome to the wine and olive mill tour in Malaga. Would you like to discover the real ancient culture of the wine and olive oil the south of Spain? Let´s join us and come to visit a cooperative working since 1977, where few producers deciced to become partners working together in order to process their products and sell them locally.
More than 40 years later, the younger relatives of the original funders produce about one million of liters of wine and same quantity of olive oiapart that thousands of kilograms of snack olives, exporting it abroad, but keeping the same working essence taught by their ancestors.
A small town with a very rich soil
We will travel crossing the mountains reaching the fields, about 45 minutes’ driving distance from the center of Malaga, where we will see green landscapes full of different trees in an environment that is hard to imagine is possible to see in the really dry south of Spain. Stopping in a field we will have a pretty walk of 25 minutes learning about the particularities of the grapes and olives productions, surrounded by vines planted in 1960 and olive trees older than 300 years.
After our walk, we will drive five minutes to the big factory where the producers take their fruits to be converted into the final product. We will see all the machines and processes necessary for the obtention of the best quality in a guided tour of 45 minutes approximately, finishing with a tasting of snack olives just extracted with a pipe, on the old way, from the huge tanks buried underground where thousands of kilograms of olives are being cured in brine.
And finally, we will reach the (full of oak barrels) wine aging room, where will have the tasting of three different olive oils + 5 wines, all produced there, with plenty of tapas such as tortilla, cheese, olives… and more.
If at the end of the tour you liked any of their products will be a chance to purchase any of them directly from the producers, making it really cheap. (About 4 € for a bottle of wine).
It´s not just the tasting
The tasting will be delicious, guaranteed, but it will be also a very interesting lesson about the old art of basic food production since thousands of years ago. All mixed with history and culture, making the day full of tastes but also full of useful knowledge about Spain and even ourselves.
Join us and discover places where that tourists never reach, where no one speaks English.

We are not big drinkers so didn’t want a basic wine tasting tour. This Olive Oil and wine tour was outstanding. Laura was so knowledgeable and pleasant. We learned so much about the history of wine and grapes, How olive oil is made and how olives are cured. Laura took us to a beautiful organic grape, olive and almond farm. We had an opportunity to see a small farm and how their crops are brought to a coop for processing- the wine, the olive oil and the olives. This was such a personalized tour- not a big commercial one. One of the workers even let us taste the olives right out of the curing vats. We ended with a wine and olive oil tasting and lots of delicious tapas. Laura went out of her way to help me find a way to ship some olive oil home. There are many tours out there- but this was by far the best. Thank you Laura for a wonderful day.read moreread lessFelix M 16/04/24Great experience visiting organic farm and co-op. Great experience with Pablo as our tour guide and overall a real highlight of our trip. We brought our infant along with us, and they were very accommodating, installing an infant seat in the van and making sure we had time and space to care for our baby. We were the only people signed up for that particular time, so we got a personalized tour; this was notable since a lot of tours will cancel if they don't have enough people. It speaks to the passion of the company and guides for teaching us about the organic processes of the farm and the co-op.
We met Pablo in the morning at 9 am near the Tourist office near the Malaga harbor and drove about 45 min to the farm. We then walked for about 45 min around the farm, seeing the old vines, olive trees, and almond trees. Across the road is another similar farm that uses non-organic methods in their farming, and the contrast is quite dramatic. The farm was very beautiful, and the walk itself was very peaceful after the bustle of the city.
We then drove about 5 min to a nearby town where we got an extensive tour of a co-op's grape and olive processing facilities. We spent about 45 min each learning about wine and olive oil processing. This was very in-depth and both Pablo and the co-op technician guiding us were very knowledgable about each step of the process. They also pulled some "snack" olives from one of the storage containers and let us try them, which was really cool.
Finally, there was a nice tasting lunch in which we tried 3 olive oils made on-site and 5 wines, with generous pours. It was amazing tasting the spice and depth of a really high quality olive oil. This was accompanied by a generous portion of tapas (meats, bread, cheese, chips) that we couldn't even finish it was so much. They even let us take the leftovers! The co-op also had a "gift shop" that was really a small grocery store, where we bought locally made products at very good prices. We then drove back to Malaga and were back by around 3 pm.
When we realized we had left our phone in the van, we reached out to Rodrigo, who immediately replied and contacted Pablo, who drove back to bring us the phone. Can't speak highly enough about how responsive and helpful they were!read moreread less - MelARobinMD 05/04/24Laura and Pablo are fantastic!! Amazing tour!! We couldn't have asked for a more amazing experience on this wine and olive oil tour!
Laura and Pablo were such fantastic hosts and guides, educating us on so many things... from the vineyard, wine grape varietals, ecology, and production of olive oil. We had an amazing time! They are the best and so wonderful!
The winery and olive oil factory was spectacular. One of the absolute best in the region. We may be spoiled now by the Trasañejo that we sampled!! If we could have drank the whole barrel, we certainly would have tried!!

Definitely the right decision. Our wonderful and light-hearted guide Laura, a multi-generation Malaga native, shared her love of the land and area with us. We definitely expanded our knowledge about the olive and grape/wine industries. The fully organic vineyard and olive grove had grape vines over a 100 years old and olive trees even older, plus newer varieties of both. Next stop was a cooperative mill generally not open to tourists, but White House Tours developed a special relationship with them, allowing us to view elements of wine, olive oil and snack olive production. Of course we finished the tour with an olive oil and wine tasting, plus generous tapas. We learned a lot, laughed a lot, and ate a lot!read moreread lessMark 04/01/24We enjoyed our olive and wine tour very much much. Laura was an excellent hostess and tour guide. On our way to Paco’s vineyard we learned all about the history of Malaga and olive & wine making. Walking Paco’s vineyard and the Olive & Wine Cooperative tour were really very interesting. This is without doubt the best wine tour ever!! Rodrigo, our host and guide was wonderful, he’s so kind and considerate of his guests and all times and such an expert in his field. He’s so knowledgeable and explained everything about the grapes, vines, olives…even the lemons!!! There is nothing this gent does not know about the vineyards and he’s so open and generous with his time and information, and makes the trip so much fun along the way!
The actual wine tasting itself was out of this world. We sampled a variety of 6 beautiful wines and delicious tapas, and our hero Rogerigo even sourced a few extra tapas for us!! We enjoyed every minute of this experience, cannot recommend it highly enough. Excellent value for money and thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish.
Roderigo thank you so, so much for such a fantastic trip, you’re the best host ever and we will definitely book this again next time we’re in Malaga!!read moreread lessRosheen 17/07/23A wine tour I'll never forget (for the best reasons)! Just got back from an amazing wine and olive oil tour with rodrigo.
The great service started from the point of inquiry. He was very informative and shaped our whole trip with excellent restaurant recommendations.
The tour itself was so detailed and full of his passion and knowledge. This was my first time on a wine tour but a few in the group have experienced them before and said this was one of the best. In particular the olive oil tour was not an add on but a full experience itself.
The tasting was lovely and I've walked away with a box of wine.
Rodrigo himself is a very personable guy. Polite, not pushy, communicative and was a pleasure to spend the day with.

Rodrigo greeted us with warmth and humour, instantly making us relaxed and ready. His passion for history, wine, olives and all things Malaga shone through in his depth of knowledge and enthusiasm. He took us to a working organic grape and olive farm, then to a working cooperative to show where and how these gems are turned into luscious liquids. And the tastings and samplings! - Wanda 27/02/23This trip far exceeded my expectations-Rodrigo was so personal and his knowledge of history and his country was amazing. It is just sad that I know I wont remember half of what he shared with us. Such a unique experience to see from start to finish the life of olives. Rodrigo was an incredibly passionate guide- he was so knowledgeable about wine and made it approachable and fun for us! I’ve been to a few wine tours (in Italy, France, Napa USA, New Zealand, etc) and this by far was the best. We stopped at a vineyard where he taught us about the vines and the olive harvest. Next we saw how the olives were processed into olive oil and for snacking. The best part- we got to taste olive oil that had just been pressed the night before. And we tried olives that were pulled right out of an underground brining container. We ended with five wines to taste with tasty tapas. The tour was the highlight from our stay in Málaga!
