Transport from Málaga and organic fields
Air-conditioned small-group transport for a maximum of 8 guests, bottled water and tour insurance, plus a 50–60 minute guided walk among ancient olive trees, vines, almond trees and beehives.
WHT’s most complete countryside day from Málaga: organic fields, a real cooperative, local olive oils, wines and food, with transport included.
Countryside from Málaga
This is much more than a tasting. We travel in a genuinely small group from central Málaga to a rural town of 5,000 inhabitants, 550 metres above sea level, where tourism has barely arrived. There, a wonderful 50–60 minute guided walk takes us past beehives, Picual and Hojiblanca olive trees over 300 years old, traditional bush-trained PX, Airén and Doradilla vines, and almond trees close to a century old.
The day continues inside a working cooperative that does not normally receive visitors, where more than one million litres of olive oil and more than one million litres of wine are produced each year to a high standard for export to major importers. The tour is hosted in English; experienced cooperative workers explain parts of the process, with our help translating whenever needed. The visit ends in the barrel room with 5 wines — including internationally award-winning wines — 3 olive oils and an individual tapas pairing.
Good fit
Why it works
The organic landscape, production rooms, cooperative workers, olive oils, wines and tapas remain connected as one rural story, with WHT transport and English hosting throughout.
From field to cooperative
From the organic countryside to a real cooperative, every part of the tasting stays connected to its production context.
