The story
Malvajío, the wine that bears the cellar’s name, is made exclusively from Syrah and aged for 16 months in new French oak. It begins with beautifully defined red fruit and polished tannin, then continues to deepen as the bottle matures.
Its capacity for ageing is remarkable, and the limit has yet to reveal itself. With time it can move through truffle, Mediterranean scrubland, chocolate and toasted notes before developing suggestions of rum and honey. It is a wine for any serious occasion — and one that never seems to stop evolving.
